… The honours of the evening, however, fell to Mr O. Oakley whose bango (sic.) selections, including the "Intermezzo" from Cavalleria Rusticana, proved so much to the taste of the audience that Mr Oakley was encored for each selection and had to repeatedly bow his acknowledgements…
