New music

Last Summer we published John Wills' new solo "Just Sublime"
you can still download the music by clicking here now by clicking here you can hear a recording of John playing his own composition.

If you are new to playing the zither-banjo or even the classic banjo, you will have realised that most of the tutors and music have long been out of print.

Mel Bay lists only one tutor (Frank Bradbury's) and two books of pieces with CDs by Chris Sands. See their web-site for details.

Help, however, is at hand. Douglas Rogers has produced a series of photo-prints of old tutors, details of which can be viewed by clicking on the link below.

A Selection of Compositions

In the 1950's Joe McNaghten, writing in the BMG, produced a list of recommended solos for the zither banjo. This list was divided into Easy, Moderate and Difficult. In the fullness of time we hope to produce these as part of an online library. If you own copies of any of the solos and would like to submit them, we will happily acknowledge the source.
