The Oakley Family
In these pages we will be reproducing photographs, articles and other items which shed light on Olly Oakley’s home life. The photo above was taken in 1938 in the back garden of the Oakleys’ home at 8 East Sheen Avenue, East Sheen, London. Now invalided by arthritis, Olly is seated while standing from left to right are eldest son Cyril, wife Winifred, third son Edward, youngest son Tony and second son Maurice. The photographer was the biographer A.P. Sharpe.
