Craft Beers Are Coming to Goose Creek: New Brewery Set to Open in Former Fire Headquarters

GOOSE CREEK, SC (WCBD) – A new brewery and restaurant are set to open this week in Goose Creek.

Wide Awake Brewing Company and Creek City Grill worked to renovate the former Goose Creek Fire Hall headquarters as part of a joint venture to create Creek City Grill and Brewery, the first business of its kind in the city of Goose Creek.

“I wanted a transformation project in our old fire station. Through our partnership with Cityvolve, we have created the opportunity for Creek City Grill & Brewery to become the first of its kind in our city,” said Goose Creek Mayor Greg Habib.

Goose Creek Grill and Brewery co-founder Charlene Walker told News 2 earlier this year that they wanted to establish a great restaurant on one side of the building and a craft beer venue on the other. “You can go in and eat with your family, or you can have a date and the other side; have a grill and have craft beer and mixed drinks.”

The new brewery and restaurant is located on Button Hall Avenue, a place that its owners have worked for several months to remodel.

Wide Awake Brewing Company announced on Facebook that its grand opening celebration will take place on Thursday, December 9and at 11:00 a.m. and promises delicious craft beers, food, and lots of fun for everyone.

“We couldn’t be more proud of the ownership group, or more grateful for their investment in Goose Creek,” said Mayor Habib.
